            Governor Ernie Fletcher and Alltech president and founder, Dr.
              Pearse Lyons announced that global animal health company, Alltech
              will be the title sponsor of the 2010 Fédération
              Equestre Internationale (FEI) Games, where the sponsorship is valued
            at $10 million. 
            
            The Alltech FEI Games will be held from the 20th September – 3rd
              October, 2010, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky,
              USA. The event is the world equestriam championships for eight
              equestrian sports, bringing together the best horses, riders, drivers
            and vaulters in the world at a single venue. 
            "Alltech was founded in Kentucky, and from our ‘Old
              Kentucky Home’ we are now providing natural, nutritional
              solutions to the animal feed industry with offices in 85 countries
              around the world,” said Alltech president, Dr. Pearse Lyons. “The
              FEI Games are world-renowned, world-class events, and we are proud
              to be the title sponsor and to be the first host of the equestrian
              games outside of Europe, when they come to the Kentucky Horse Park
              in 2010.” 
            Athletes from around the world will compete in the eight disciplines
              that make up the games, including show jumping, dressage, eventing,
              driving, endurance, vaulting, reining and, for the first time in
              concurrence with the other seven, para-equestrian. The Games are
              expected to attract more than 500,000 people to Kentucky, of which
              40% will be from 100 different countries outside the United States.
              With an estimated economic impact to Kentucky in excess of $100
              million, the Alltech FEI Games will be the largest sporting event
              ever held in Kentucky. 
            “Alltech is a tremendous Kentucky based company that competes
              in the global marketplace,” according to Governor Fletcher.
              He further added, “I cannot think of a beeter way to promote
              this event than to have Alltech’s support and sponsorship
              showcasing the FEI Games around the world”.
