Zwartbles Sheep Association

The Zwartbles is certainly a breed for the future, and the Zwartbles Sheep Association (ZSA) was established in 1995 to celebrate and promote the breed in the UK. Since the beginning of the last century, dairy farmers in the Freisland region of Holland have kept Zwartbles Sheep, a strikingly handsome black sheep with a distinctive white blaze.

A new breed record of 4000gns was achieved at the Zwartbles Sheep Association Premier Sale held at Carlisle on Friday 3rd August 2018.

Premier Zwartbles Sheep Show & Sale 2014-Aug-15
The first premier sale held at Carlisle on behalf of the Zwartbles Sheep Association saw a top price of 3000gns for the shearling ram Wallridge Moor Ajax bred and shown by Caroline Anderson.
