  The first Limousin cattle,  eight “F” series heifers,  came to Ireland in 1972  via twelve weeks in  the Spike Island quarantine station,   heading for the farm of  singer songwriter Paddy Clancy at Cregg,  Carrick-on-Suir,  Co. Tipperary.
