The Kentucky
Cattlemen's Association (KCA) is a grassroots organization devoted
to providing leadership that will support, improve and inform the
Kentucky beef industry.
TFU was
organized in Point, Texas in 1902. The founder, Newt Gresham, was
a former newspaper editor sympathetic with the problems facing small
agricultural producers at the turn of the century.
The issues
on which the organization lobbies and the positions it takes are
determined by its grassroots membership ‘ the people who are active
in Farmers Union organizations that are located in 80 of Minnesota's
87 counties.
