Italy is a dissapointing place
to go searching for breeders associations on the web, mainly because of
this organisation, ANABIC, which is the result of the merging of the prevously
existing individual National Breed Associations to set up a single National
Herd Book for the Italian beef-cattle breeds. Founded in 1961 and legally recognized in 1966, the National Association of Italian Beef-Cattle Breeders (ANABIC) was estabilished to promote and implement all types of initiatives aimed towards improving, developing, and spreading the autochthonous Italian cattle breeds: Marchigiana, Chianina, Romagnola, Maremmana and Podolica. |
