Andrew Brings a Wealth of Nutrition Knowledge to Aspatria Farmers
Farmer co-operative Aspatria Farmers has appointed Andrew Hodsman as their new Feeds and Technical Manager.
Andrew has had more than 25 years’ experience in the animal feed industry, latterly working as Technical Support Manager with Jim Peet Agriculture for five years.

Prior to that he worked with BOCM Pauls for 12 years as an account manager initially covering West and South Yorkshire, working predominantly with dairy farmers and then moved to Kendal looking after dairy and beef farmers across North Lancashire and Cumbria.
He began his career in Lincolnshire where he worked for Thomas Bell (Corn Merchants) for 10 years, starting in the bag store at the age of 17 and progressing to being a Director.
Andrew has wide experience in feed formulation, on farm nutrition
and farm advice.

they focus on supporting their members,” said Andrew.

“It has been a
major part of our strategy to recruit someone with Andrew’s skills
into the business and his extensive knowledge of ruminant nutrition
will allow us to far better provide our farmer customers with the technical
advice and support they need to help improve performance and very importantly
save costs”.
Andrew and his wife Dawn, a finance officer with BUPA, have lived in Kendal for 17 years. They have a family of three - Ben, 22, who is a duty manager at Morrisons, Jess, 20, a student nurse, and Drew, 18, who is studying accountancy at Kendal College.
In his spare time Andrew enjoys walking in the Lake District and supporting Liverpool Football Club.
