              On Saturday 10th March 2007, the Cumberland & Dumfriesshire
                Farmers Mart P.L.C. held its first sale of Rare breed poultry,
                waterfowl, cage birds & equipment in over a year and it proved
              to be a great success. 
              
              Over 400 registered buyers ensured a massive crowd and a flying
                trade throughout the day. 400 lots of poultry, 150 lots of cage
                birds and 100 lots of equipment changed hands in a day of frenzied
              bidding. 
              The days top price was £150 for a pair of Toulouse Geese
                from Stramulloch followed at £120 and £105 for pairs
                of Red Breasted Geese from The Holt.

              Cage Birds: £40 Pair Kakarikies, £32 Quartet Grey/Blue
                Budgies, £30 Six Zebra Finches, Pair Peachfaced Lovebirds. 
              Equipment: £120 Small hen shed, £85 Poultry Ark, £80
                Auto Turning Egg Incubator, £75 Birnsea Polyhatch Egg Incubator.
