           MAKERS of the country’s finest beef burgers have been handed
            an accolade by the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX).

          The top burger burghers in three categories – manufacturers,
          caterers and schools – were awarded trophies, certificates and
          the chance to take part in a sporting experience of their choice valued
          at £500. 
           
          All entrants used Quality Standard English beef mince to make their
          patties. 
           
          Winners were: manufacturer – Frank Parker Butchers of Nuneaton
          for his Low Fat Burgers; caterer – Tony Robson-Burrell of The
          Wheatsheaf in Oaksey, Wiltshire for his Rump Steak Burger; school meals – Brian
          Fawcett of Gilmour Foods, suppliers to North Yorkshire County Council,
          with his Yorkshire Dales Beefburger. 
           
          Hugh Judd, EBLEX Foodservice Manager, said: “We were impressed
          by the quality of the winning burgers and with the fact that all three
          winners were passionate about sourcing their meat from trusted suppliers.”
