The Royal Smithfield Club has confirmed that there will be the
traditional livestock competitions at the end of this year.
Following the cancellation of the Earls Court Show for 2006, the
Club's Trustees met to consider the options for the Royal Smithfield
Club livestock event, always a major focal point of the London
              Show.
"The Club has received many offers to host this year's competitions,” commented
Neil Gourlay, Chairman of the Chief Stewards. “Over the next
two weeks we shall consider all the options and an announcement
will be made by the end of March.
“It is great that we have received so much support for our
competitions to be held in late November/early December."
