Calling all stock judging
              enthusiasts ………
              11/04/05
Stock judging enthusiasts will have the opportunity to test their
skills at North Sheep 2005 to be held at Whinfell Park, Penrith
            on Wednesday 1 June.

Competitors from throughout the UK are invited to enter the EBLEX
Better Returns Programme Stock Judging Competition with £250
at stake. The award which is split in three sectors for under 21
years, 21 years and over, and ladies, will feature three sheep
classes to judge: upland, lowland and prime lambs together with
two cattle classes. Competitors will be able to make their entry
              on the day.
The prize from the EBLEX Better Returns Programme sponsored competition
is a £250 voucher towards the purchase of a performance recorded
ram. All entry fees will be donated towards the Alistair Johnson
Spinal Injures Trust Fund. Alistair is a Northumberland based shepherd
and NSA northern region committee member who was recently injured
              playing rugby.
Event organiser, Julie Sedgewick comments: “Following on
from the stock judging staged last year at NSA's Scotsheep
and the National Sheep Event which attracted a massive entry of
more than 150 competitors in total, we're optimistic this
competition will attract a similar turnout of enthusiasts who will
also be contributing towards a very worthy cause.”
