              ENGLISH beef topped the menu at a lunch to celebrate the selection
              of Belgium's top Lady Chef. 
              The lunch, sponsored by the English Beef and Lamb Executive
                (EBLEX) and organised by Belgian gastronomic magazine Ambience,
                was held at winning chef Christine Cornu's restaurant La Bortavelle
              in Liege. 
              The beef was top quality English Aberdeen Angus. 
              Jean-Pierre Garnier, EBLEX Meat Export Manager, said: "I
                think some Belgian restaurateurs have almost forgotten how good
                English beef really is. 
              "This was one of the highlights of the Belgian gastronomic
                calendar, which made it exactly the right place to show off the
                excellence of the beef English farmers can produce."
